Student Leadership
At St Peter’s School we encourage our students to be leaders. We provide many opportunities for our student leaders to show their skills and support other students.
Young Vinnies
The Young Vinnies team is part of a wider group of students across Christchurch Catholic schools.
Student Council
Each year a Student Council is formed to help foster leadership growth in our school. They are empowered with decision making capacity and support events running smoothly in school. Their initiatives in 2022 were very successful!
Student Leadership Badges
Year 6-8 students can work towards gaining badges in the following leadership areas. These badges are awarded after significant work and/or success in the area, and can be ironed on to the Senior School Jacket.

Faith Team
As a team we plan and lead various liturgical celebrations throughout the year. We are proud to be part of the following:
- School Blessing
- Waitangi Day commemorations
- Holy Week-liquid pictures and chorus plays
- Stations of the Cross re-enactments on Holy Thursday
- Catholic Schools Day/Pentecost
- All Saints/Missionary Prayer services
- Plan prepare and lead Assembly prayer
